|I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1954 and have made the Metropolitan area my home base. Both of my parents being fine/commercial artists gave me an early interest in visual communication. Other influences include Walt Disney, Maxfield Parrish, William Bradley,Andrew Loomis,Peter Max and M.C. Escher.
The posters of the 60's introduced me to the marvels of fluorescent colors. The first time I put them in an airbrush I was hooked- endless tonal possibilities. Over time I developed the tecniques that I still use today. With the evolution of digital imaging software, the process has continued to grow- leading to the perfect marriage of airbrush to inkjet printer.
Living in Michigan provides an unlimited supply of inspiration, the great out doors. Whether painting signs, murals, cars, vans, illustration board or canvas, you're only a few steps away from the wonders of nature.
